So Beautiful
So Beautiful
My 12 yo son has always been a bit messy, a bit rushed, a bit uninterested in doing his work with the greatest of care. As he has gotten older that is improving (some), but today his notebook of his work from Preparing Hearts was lying on the table while he was working on a project in another room. I just sat down and lingered with it. It was "so beautiful". The science pages, the illustrations, the copywork, the written narrations, the poems - some in cursive, some in manuscript. I was so moved by his work. My 12 year old son is growing up. Yes, he still needs work with his cursive and yes, he could sure slow down with the manuscript, but he's done so much good work and I'm so pleased. Thank you HOD for making a difference.
With Joy!

Re: So Beautiful
So glad to hear there's still hope for those who 'rush'!
And I'm happy for you that you were able to look into his world and see the beauty.

Florence,
Isn't that a special moment when you realize that your child is growing up and IS gaining in the skill areas (and as a young man)? I completely understand what you're saying. It's so important that we take time to celebrate the successes within our homeschool journeys, as it gives us the will to go on!
I'm celebrating with you today! Thanks for sharing your reflections.
Blessings,
Carrie
