starting to get back to normal

Post by netpea » Tue Jan 29, 2008 7:45 am

Hi everyone. Thanks again for prayers and warm words. I just wanted to let you all know that we are getting back to normal. My son still has 2 black eyes caused by the blood drainage from his goose egg. I still have some aches and pains but we are much better. Yesterday I actually stayed awake all day for the first time.

We did a teeny bit of school yesterday. Mostly just flashcards from FreeWorld U and we snuggled on the couch and read some of "History Stories for Children" (from LHFHG). We didn't pull Beyond out, maybe today. The kids have been sucking up Webkinz time and TV time while I recuperated. Time to wean them away from that again...

Today I have to drive them to piano, I just don't want to get behind the wheel again.

When do we get those teleporter devices from Star Trek??

How hard for you. I am praying for health and peace for you. It is so hard to get those things out of our mind. We all take for granted when we get into a car we will get out OK. Praying for your family!

Lee Ann,

It's so good to hear that you and your family are healing. It can be a slow process. I had a very bad car accident my senior year of high school, and I know how you feel about getting back behind the wheel of a car again. It is good to do it though, or it can become an unreasonable fear. Just take it slow and pray before you go. The Lord will be with you. We'll be praying for you today.

Blessings,
Carrie

Well my kids got to piano and I got to the grocery store without having another accident.

So I guess we are back to "normal".

THanks again,

Sending you a cyber high-five! :D Getting behind the wheel again is the hardest part. My m-i-l always says you have to fall off a horse 7 times and get back on to be a real cowboy. (let's hope that doesn't apply to car accidents  )

Seriously, very thankful you are feeling better and your dc!

Oh LeeAnn,

I am so sorry you guys had to go through all this but I am very glad that you drove today. I agree that it can become an unreasonable fear. (((Warm Hugs)))
