Hearts For Him THrough Time Writing Q?

I thought I had asked this, yet can't seem to find it. My brain is fried from trying to wrap it around giving up those spelling lists! LOL! HA HA! Anyway...
All that to ask... In the Ancients Cycle, I LOVE the writing curriculum choices. Carrie thanks for answering my Q about WWTB Vol II, and explaining the choices further... it makes total sense about the literature tie in and not just tidbits to work with! :P I am looking forward to all that you have planned!
However... will outlining be taught? I thought I had read about it somewhere, yet obviously my brain isn't working this am. Sorry if this is a repeat question. Thanks

I just checked rodandstaffbooks.com and looked at the table of contents of English 4 & 5... level 4 teaches note-taking and level 5 begins outlining. I bet Carrie has them using the skill in other parts of the lessons, although I assume the teaching of it will come from the R&S text???

I'm horrible at notetaking an outlining so I'm curious how this will be addressed as well (it's a comfort knowing I won't have to do this all by myself. LOL)

Yes, we are going to be scheduling some notetaking once a week along with the history in the new ancients guide and are not sure yet if we will do it in outline form or in list form for this first exposure to it. So, we are still deciding what format the notetaking will be in our new ancients guide. Eventually, we will move to an outlining format in later guides for sure, most likely teaching it in stages. Rod and Staff does an excellent job of covering notetaking and outlining skills, so our plans will utilize application and practice of that method. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
