I've really missed this board, as we've had extremely limited access this past while.. to make a loooong story short, we went back to Canada to renew my husband's work visa (as we do each year), and our 10-day trip turned into a 3-month trip when the US border wouldn't let us back in (no specific reason given). Needless to say, we are thrilled to finally be home here and excited to be starting back with school tomorrow.
I was a little nervous about starting up again after such a long, unexpected break. So just a little while ago, I casually started talking about some of the last topics we had been learning about, and to my great surprise, all three kiddos began to enthusiastically talk about things that we had read in history, science, and Bible.. and in great detail, too! It was almost as though we can just finished those subject last week instead of in early November.
In my mind, this is just a another example of the way kids retain so well with HOD's thorough, gentle, multisensory methods

Thanks, Carrie!
