Bible Memory

This past week was such a blessing for me!
I was doing the Bible Memory vs on day 1 making up motions with ds of 6 and ds of 3 was watching us not wanting to participate. The next day the 3 of us sat on the couch and I started the motion and drew a blank. I just asked ds of 6 to go look on the wall and read it to me, when to our amazement ds of 3 just started saying the Memory vs.
He was so excited and told Daddy later and has been quoting Col 3:23 the whole week.
Such encouragement just blessed my heart to see how much these little ones are sponges and whatever you allow them to observe and take in will come out and in this case it was the Word of God.
Lesson Learned: Let the little ones hang out when you teach the older ones even when they don't actively participate.

Sandra - that is so true! Those little eyes and ears pick up more than we give them credit for!! I'm so glad that you were encouraged to have your little one learning scripture - incognito.

That's precious! I think that was a little gift sent to you from God - we need to file those moments away in our minds as homeschool moms. Those moments can keep us going and remind us how important our enthusiasm and love for God is to show our dc, whether it's in doing a verse with hand motions or something else. The love of God is "catching"! I'm glad your little one caught it!

In Christ,
Julie :D

Your story is such a blessing to me this week! It was also a good reminder to me that those little ones do take in much more than we realize (thank goodness)!

Thanks for sharing! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
