I'm just too eager!!!

So, now that my materials/guides/etc. are coming in, do I start them in late summer/early fall as planned, or do we jump into things NOW?
I will wait on Preparing with the oldest for sure. I do think I'm going to switch her to Singapore 2A with the corresponding activities in Bigger as soon as that comes.
I will wait on Beyond with my next oldest. He's not overly eager, so he won't mind. I think.
But I may get the next two going on Little Hands to Heaven anytime now...

Oh, I just don't know if I could make myself wait either - I say JUMP IN with LHTH!

I think it's actually a really good idea to start with one new program and do it for a bit, then add in another new program, and then add the last one. It eases the dc into a new routine - and it's not all bad to ease us moms into it either!

I say, "Go for it!" If your little ones are ready and eager, then by all means, start. It might be a nice way to ease into HOD - not that it needs any "easing." I'm sure you will love it. Your older kids might really enjoy watching the younger ones learning, singing, and playing that it may make them eager to start their own new programs in the fall. If they do get eager, I might make them wait anyway. The anticipation will build through the summer, and you can start off the fall energized and excited. Have a great time. HOD is the best!

That's what I was thinking too...
As it is, I'll be doing LHTH with two kiddos. I'll be adding in the phonics and math from LHFHG for the older of those two.
I'll be doing BLHFHG with the next oldest... I believe as written...
I'll be doing PHFHG with the oldest... with math from Bigger.
That's five guides. Yeah... We'll start off gradually. LOL

You're wise to do it that way, Julie!

HOD makes it the easiest of anything out there I've seen or used to teach several guides though, so don't worry - you'll be sliding into the routine of it before long.

I'll soon be doing 3 programs too - I'm maybe a year off from that - so that'll be an adventure for sure!

And Carrie, well she's headed for doing 4. Keeps life interesting!

Julie

Okay...
Now that I'm reading on here about how much one guide prepares the child for the next and how wonderful everything is (like Original Julie's post about the poetry this morning), I kind of want to start my 7yo with Little Hearts on Monday (he's the one I've been planning to start Beyond with in the fall), as well as the two younger with Little Hands.
I'm still waiting for my Bigger manual and the 2A math, but I do think I'll start that (the math) with my oldest when it comes. So, do I have her do other stuff from Bigger too? LOL
One purchase begets another purchase, begets another purchase, and so on and so on and so on...
