An Extraordinary Gift

Post by deltagal » Wed Jan 28, 2009 11:47 am

Carrie,

I wanted to simply say you have an extraordinary gift and how grateful I am that you have chosen to share it through HOD. Each day that I crack open an HOD guide I find myself thinking of you and your family and the children you used to teach in a classroom setting. Indeed, your ability for finding a common theme and identifying a teachable moment are exceptional. The manner in which you have laid out the guides and the sense of order combined with ease of use is a true marvel. Although, we still have a ways to go in truly gleaning all that we can from our guides, I know without a doubt that any time spent on lessons is worthwhile. There's no twaddle here, only rich experiences for learning, thinking, talking. So, thank you to you and your husband and children for somehow carving out the time to make HOD happen not just for you, but for all of us. :D
With Joy!

I completely agree! :D I am in shock that I am so SATISFIED with everything HOD has to offer! My dc are too. We are learning & enjoying each other as we go about our day with HOD. My box checking tendencies are satisfied to boot! I have NO desire to look anywhere else for our curriculum.

Thank you Carrie & thank your beautiful family as well! :D

Amen!! Amen!! (Standing Ovation!) :!: :!: :!:
We are loving each and every day with HOD! In HOD I have found the cure for my former "grass is greener" syndrome and also that bug that used to drive me to search out the new "latest and greatest" curriculum to brighten our homeschool days. I have never been so content as we are now with HOD. I agree wholeheartedly with everything Deltagal said. It is truly a marvel how wonderfully everything ties together. I said on another homeschool forum yesterday, that I plan to keep all my HOD stuff to pass down to dc someday if they should so desire to homeschool their children. Who knows what the future holds, so I just want to make sure we always have access to such rich learning! Carrie, did you ever dream you would be creating an "heirloom" curriculum?!

Oh Ladies! You've got me all teared-up at the computer, and I am not a teary sort of person!

Our writing and our business are both sustained through prayer. We hold fast to the Lord and pray for Him to show us what to write and how to put it together. I am so thankful that the Lord is good at taking my less than perfect life and using it for His glory. He somehow takes all of my teaching experiences and molds them into what He desires in our guides. I covet your prayers, and I'm so thankful that HOD is helping your families in some small way to glorify the Lord even more. :D

Thank you all for sharing on this thread, as I store these posts away in my heart like a treasure for times when the going isn't so smooth. I am blessed and encouraged by each one of you today! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
