What a great discussion we had...

...today at lunch! Our LHTH guide had me reading a devotional that talked about boys and girls. It talked about the way boys should treat girls, and that God made them to be the strong protectors of their sisters, and eventually their wives. I purposely read this during lunch so my 8 yo could get this reminder, too. They had a great time acting out ways that they (the boys) could be respectful to girls like their mom, sister, and friends! (The acting it out was the real clincher!

) Carrie, thanks for including this important idea of being a "gentleman"! It hit home much more than my reminders about not hitting girls and treating them special.

that's wonderful! What unit was that in. I might drag mine back out and reread it to my own kiddos.

What a wonderful lesson! I'm sad we missed that one. Thanks for sharing!

Unit 14 Day 4
Today Grant wanted to do the role play thing with Allison, again. Only this time, he decided to pull her little chair out
as she was trying to sit on it.
At least she thought it was funny today...and I think they did get the message (even though we've got plenty of room for improvement).

I can't wait to get to that lesson with my little guy! We're on unit 10 right now. Too funy about him pulling out her chair while she was trying to sit down. Hopefully he won't do that on any of his dates when he gets older

Kathleen,
That is TOO cute!

I loved reading that devotional too. My boys started holding the door open for me from the time they were little guys thanks to that same devotional topic! I love having them practice acting like a gentlemen with me (as I'm the only female in the house)!
Blessings,
Carrie
