Does anyone use the Singapore Challenging Word Problems books? Someone I know uses Singapore and mentioned the Word Problem books to me. She really likes them.
Thanks!

Yes, I do use this workbook with my son. He is just finishing up 1A and will begin 2A soon. It is aptly named. My son is quite bright with math and picks up concepts quickly, so he really enjoys the challenging problems. I use it as a supplement and as a change of pace. One workbook lasts for the whole year, as opposed to the regular textbook, so it's not a large purchase for a year's worth of challenge.

Lee Ann,
We don't carry the Challenging Word Problems books because we try not to confuse our customers with more options than needed. Like Laura said, the Challenging Word Problems books are great for those mathy students who need a challenge, yet for most kiddos they are pretty hard and tricky! I know moms who use them and found they had to order the previous level's Challenging Word Problems book so that it wouldn't be too difficult.
The core of Singapore is already good at providing the critical thinking and higher-level problem solving within the Textbooks and Workbooks, so unless you want additional challenge for your kiddo the Challenging Word Problems are just extras.
Hope that helps!
Blessings,
Carrie
