Idea for keeping up with spelling words

Post by Vicki » Thu Jan 01, 2009 5:31 pm

I just wanted to post that I've been working this afternoon on writing out spelling words on index cards, and I had a lightbulb moment about how to store them for upcoming units. I cut the 3" X 5" cards to3" X 2 1/4", and each card makes 2 spelling cards. Now, the cool thing is that this size fits nicely into one of those trading/baseball cards plastic card sheets. Each sheet has 9 slots, so you only need 4 sheets for a whole year of Bigger (or whichever program you're using). I'm keeping these together in a notebook, along with some worksheets I've got from assorted workbooks to go along with them.

Anyway, I just wanted to share in case someone could benefit from it. I'm just excited to get all my things done ahead of time, and now I can sit back and just (literally) open up the book and go!
Moving along at our own pace, and very happy with it!

What a neat idea! I'll have to remember this in a few years when we get to that point.
