Can you tell me about Cheerful Cursive?

Just looking for some info as I can't find samples of it. We are currently using Handwriting Without Tears. I am not unhappy with it but am finding that we don't have enough practice in the workbooks and are having to complete each workbook twice or I have to create handwriting sheets.

Thanks!

Grant is loving Cheerful Cursive this year. It's nice steady practice that gives plenty of practice with letter formation before jumping into copywork. (That's why we like it over the A Reason for Handwriting.) My son needs practice...and honestly his handwriting is looking pretty good this year! :D

Did you see Mary's picture on that other thread? That's a great example of the practice. It does all lowercase letters first.

I'll post a couple of pics of my sons book as soon as I can. I searched high and low too and checked local bookstores etc. Could find nothing. I ordered it because my son asked to learn cursive and I have ended up with everything else Carrie recommends anyway so I thought "I probably won't go wrong with this either." I was right. I like it. It eases into cursive and that we really needed.

I'll try to get them up tonight but it might be tomorrow.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Here are 2 lessons from the beginning of the book and the last one is from the middle of the book that we haven't gotten to yet.

Hope this helps. I do use StartWrite to make more practice sheets if he needs more practice. I find that if I remind him constantly to copy the samples then he does better. I had to make an extra practice sheet for the middle pics lesson because he really just didn't even try all that well. I don't think he'll do that again :D

Here's a link to an older thread, where we discussed reasons for choosing Cheerful Cursive and some discussion with other moms on it: viewtopic.php?t=383
