Question about Copywork in Preparing

We are getting ready to start Preparing in January.

In looking over the guide, it says that we need a notebook for copywork. Where is the copywork? I have found the dictation, the math schedules, reading schedules etc. I am sure it is under my nose but I am not seeing it.
Blessings!

Hi 3whizlets.

We are using Preparing and just love it, I'm sure you will too!
There is quite a bit of copywork from the Draw and Write through History book. After that book is finished, copywork will come from the independent history books that the student reads by himself. There are also Bible verses to copy and occasionally a poem. I hope I'm not leaving anything out.

Thanks Allison! I do remember seeing the Draw and Write Through History scheduled. Are the others scheduled as well or do I need to assign it on my own? I guess what I am missing is where it tells me that I am to assign Copywork.
Thanks!

Okay, I understand now.

Look at Unit 2 Day 2 in the Independent History Study box. It says to copy the second and third paragraphs of Draw & Write. Also, look at Unit 1 Day 4 in the Bible Study box. It says to copy the verse. The Science box usually has copywork scheduled too, look at Unit 2 Day 1. It's all scheduled so you don't need to assign it on your own.

One thing I love about Preparing is how Carrie has spaced the writing out over the week so you never have too much writing on any given day.

Hi Shelley - We're doing PHFHG and the copywork is all scheduled for you. You'll see it show up in different boxes in the plans. It rotates to keep it lively, but it is always balanced for each day. We're loving it, btw. I bet you can't wait to start PHFHG!
In Christ,
Julie
