I am confused about the recommended books for DITHOR.

If I were to use BHFHG for my 3rd and 6th grader next year, what books are the ones that I would use for her for DITHOR? Do I use the extended book pack for the older students as her books for this or a totally different set of books? I did not see a list of books for DITHOR level 6/7/8 although I do not think my dd could handle a book higher than her grade level. This is probably a very confusing question. Thanks!

There is a book list for DITHOR that has book suggestions up through 8th grade. Did you get that? You can also look at Carrie's book packs for DITHOR to get an idea what type books to use.

Lee Ann did a great job of answering your question! As far as Drawn into the Heart of Reading goes, yBlou have 3 options when choosing books to use with the program.
1. If you are comfortable choosing your own books, you can easily do that.
2. If you like a little more guidance, you can use the ideas off of our Sample Book Ideas List. This list comes with the DITHR packages.
3. If you would rather NOT choose the books, you can use one of our ready made book packs. The book packs are currently available for Level 2 and Level 3. Our wonderful web designer is currently adding packs for Level 4/5. These will most likely be up around the first week in January. For Level 6/7/8, we do not have book packs put together yet. But, you can easily use our "Book Shop" portion of our website and create your own packs. Here is a link to that part of our website. Just scroll down to see the books and reading levels for each genre. If you're using Bigger Hearts, check the key at the top to stay away from titles you will already be reading through Bigger.
