OT- May I ask for prayer again

Some of you ladies already know and are praying for this but I wanted to ask again of my HODies for prayer. My dh it seems has been laid off. They signed him for a contract until March 31st and are going to offer that we move to either Oregon or Wisconsin for another job (our choice) but the problem is we owe more than our house is worth now and can't sell. They seem to want to keep him but they would have to cough up a very large sum of money for us to even be able to move. As it is my dh works a side job just so we can make ends meet. We have been on a track to try to restore us financially this way, since this will make the 6th layoff my dh has had in 6 years with companies going under or cutting back and now relocating.

I feel like God has a blessing for us in this. I see possibility for so many things, Perhaps they will offer him a relocation package that might end our debt (Ok that is a stretch but nothing is impossible with God) or maybe they will allow him to telecommute, or maybe another more perfect job will come along here at just the right time to make our finances even better. But I feel like we are in a place where we really need to be on our knees and ask that everyone who is willing to join us in prayer will bring this to The Lord. Please pray for the many families that were just let go with no extension like we were blessed to get. This is the absolute worst time in the year to be laid off with no income. I have walked that path twice and nobody seems to hire until after the Holidays and this is a really bad economy we are in to say the least. My heart really goes out to the families that lost their job completely on the spot. It appears only three people out of 60 have been offered to relocate and many were let go on the spot with no extension until the end of March. So please pray for these families that they will feel God's hand on Him and if they do not know Him as many we know do not through this they will be led to find Him as Savior and that He will provide for their needs.

God is good all the time and I know that He honors prayer from sincere hearts. My dh has asked of me that I ask everyone I know to pray over this. He is a little stressed over this but handling it well. Thank you to anyone who feels led to pray for our family. Your prayers have helped me immensely in the past and I covet them once again.

Thank you and praying all the families here will be blessed! I know I am not alone in hard times so I will be praying for you all knowing God answers the prayers that we do not even know to pray through The Holy Spirit Who intercedes for us.and that He knows your needs even if I do not.

I'll pray for you. My husband was laid off four years ago right before Thanksgiving and we went through the holidays without his income. Plus I was unemployed. It was rough. I'll pray for a major blessing for you.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

I'm sure these scriptures have already come to mind, but God used your situation to remind me today to trust Him, feed on His faithfulness, delight in Him, commit my way to Him...and wait patiently for Him. I have to admit the waiting patiently part is always the hardest for me...and I don't do it well. Praying that you conitnue to be able to wait patiently for Him as your trust Him for your future!

I know it is in God's hands and I know he has my family's best in mind but I also know He listens to prayers offered in kindness as well. I have the most incredible book called, "His Princess, Love Letters from Your King" A friend gave it to me for my birthday and it has brought me so much peace in the midst of all different kinds of situations. Water2wine, I'm thinking of you and praying for you this evening! I know the Lord has His perfect timing in this, even though we can't always see it. I'll share this example with you to give you hope. My sister and her husband have 7 children. My sister has always longed to move back home, but there are no jobs that would support such a large family in the chemical engineering field out in the middle of Iowa. Several years ago, my brother-in-law had an interview to be a plant manager at a plant very close to where our entire family lives. He was down to the final two interviewed, and it looked as if my sister was about to get her constant prayer of living close to home answered.

Then, nothing went right and someone else got the job. We were all somewhat frustrated as it had seemed like the Lord had orchestrated this job opening, so we wondered why, after all our family's years of praying for this very thing that it would fall through. Just this past month, the very stable company my brother-in-law had interviewed with for the job out here suddenly declared bankruptcy. All of our family instantly realized that the Lord had really been protecting my sister and her family by not having things work out the way we'd all prayed for them to be. I share this to show you that only the Lord knows why this has happened, but His timing is perfect, and He wants only good things for you and your family.

By the way, MamaMary, I loved the quote you shared. It was a blessing to me too.

Mary, you are always such a wonderful encouragement to me. Thank you my friend! That book sounds wonderful. Thank you for sharing it, it really spoke to me.

Carrie, thank you for that example of your sister with one more blessing than me. I really feel like this is such an important decision. We are kind of afraid that we would move only to be have sacrificed and end up in the same position again or worse. I am praying that they will consider telecommuting for him. There is really no reason that he could not do that in his position. In this economy I think that would be the best solution for us. But God would have to move a few mountains to make that happen and I am not sure it is what He wants for us. And there in is the problem knowing for sure what is His will because as you said when several doors have been opened it is hard to know which is God's best. It's a time to really be in the Word a lot so that we can see it when it comes. I think I am more afraid to make the wrong choice than I am that God will not provide for us. I know that He will I just need to be sure we do the right thing. Hopefully He will make it clear like He did for your sister.

I agree it is so difficult sometime to discern exactly what God's will is, and I know you are truly seeking after that. I also am sure that even when it isn't apparent what His will is, when we seek Him, he will steer us in the right direction wanting only good things for us.
