First 9 weeks needs for Bigger and Preparing

Post by deltagal » Fri Nov 07, 2008 9:03 pm

Hi,

I'm just pulling together a list of what I need for HOD. I would like to just purchase the necessary books for the first 9 weeks. Can any of you guide me for what I would need for the following:

1.) Bigger - Science first 9 weeks

2.) Preparing - all subjects (have Singapore and Rod and Staff)

Thank you.

Florence,
We just recently began Preparing. I'll look through my guide and come back to post the list if no ones gets to it before me.

I can help you with Bigger science. :D

For the 1st 9 weeks you'll need One Small Square: Seashore, Science in Colonial America, and One Small Square: Woods. In the 1st 9 units you only need OSS: Woods once for a notebooking page about flowers. The other 2 books are used entirely during this time. Starting in Unit 10, you'll need the book on John Audubon and the woods book more. So, you could get by without the woods one in the 1st 9 weeks if you needed to.

We start unit 10 this next week, so this was easy for me to answer.

Ok, to get started from this helpful list I DO NOT have

Tirzah
5,000 Yr Old Puzzle
Trojan Horse
Cactus Desert
Draw & Write

At what week does each of these begin in the plans? I know I need Draw & Write from day 1. I'm piecing together what I already have and trying to see how far it will get us!
