emerging readers

Post by j_croche » Fri Nov 07, 2008 8:52 am

Are most of the emerging readers generally available at libraries? As most of you know I'm needing to return some of my HOD items in order to purchase the Bigger guide and the Emerging readers? I was able to find the Singapore Math and the R&S 3 (used) at my local hs store. My problem is, I'm having trouble deciding on what to return because I'm going to have to turn around and re-buy it next year. Anyway, I figure I could keep more of my items if I use the library for the readers. I'd like to hear from you if you been able to find them easily or if you've had trouble finding them.
Thanks,
Jenni

Hi Jenni,

We have every one of the emerging readers in our Library system, including the Bible. They are all very common books.

Thanks Florence,
I just realized that I could check my library catalog online. They have every book except the CLP Nature Reader.
That's great!
Blessings,
Jenni :D

We have all but the Bible, I think.I would think that if you have ILL you should be able to get all if them, even if your particular library doesn't have them all.
Momma to my 4 sweeties:
DD 14 - MTMM and DITHOR (completed LHFHG, Beyond, Bigger, Preparing, CTC, took a couple years off, and now she's back!)
DS 11 and DD 9 - Preparing(completed 2 rounds of LHTH, LHFHG, Beyond, and Bigger)
DD 6 - LHFHG

Jenni,

That is one of the great benefits of HOD. We often will use tried and true books that you can find in a good library system, in order to give you that option for economizing. We actually make a point of using books that have been around and stood the test of time as much as possible in each guide.

Blessings,
Carrie

The Christian Liberty Nature reader is used for quite a while. You might want to consider purchasing that one. We are using it right now. My son loves it.

Thanks Ashley--I hadn't thought about an ILL. I keep this in mind for future books that I may need or want my kiddos to read :D
