I've lost that lovin' feelin'.....

....but not with HOD!! I'm into it over a month and NO BURNOUT!! I can't wait to get started with it every single day (once you can pry me from bed anyway)...I want to do more than one lesson each day (which is doable even with two guides!)...I enjoy the read-alouds, the activities, the experiments, EVERYTHING! I've always "lost that lovin' feelin'" with every curriculum I've used within the first few weeks and generally finished out of "duty" and the fact I coudn't buy anything else. Well, God provided a way this time and we were able to change early in the school year and I am so thankful we did! I have never enjoyed home schooling as much as I do right now. I'm so glad we'll get to use HOD until at least 8th grade! No pressure at all Carrie, but oh how I wish I'd never have to say goodbye to HOD...high school will be a bummer. LOL

Thank you for sharing Mom2Monkeys !
It is almost like our children are just our "cover" to get to have the education we did not have.

If I did not have to do dishes, laundry, bathrooms, floors, meals, planning, etc, I would definitely try to do two lessons !
You GO GIRL !

Yes!! I feel that way about half the time!
It's amazing the things I never learned the first time around.
And as someone who is using HOD with two children and doing high school that is NOT HOD with my dd, let me just say that an HOD-less high school is a bit of a bummer. My daughter sits in on her brother's school just because she wishes hers could be like theirs.
