I have been wanting to do this for years - and next year, I get to do it! Guess what it is? (We really do need a drumroll here ladies...)

We're going to have a slideshow in a digital photo frame and photo flipbooks at the book fairs!

Isn't that so neat?!? But, I need your help to do this - as much as I adore to stare at pics of my 3 sons, I do think that people may grow tired of staring at picture after picture of just my dc (and Carrie's dc). Plus, there's a gender issue - no daughters here! So, here's where you all come in!

Could you please... pretty please... email me pics of your dc doing your favorite HOD things? (projects, activities, whatever you think captures the joy of HOD ) We'll use these in the photo slideshow. We also will have photo flipbooks on display, one for each HOD guide (if we have enough pics ), with comments too. In this project, MORE is better because I'd like to have each HOD guide well represented with pictures, so send as many pics as your heart leads you to please. Also, if they could be horizontal, that will help us keep the frame the same direction.
*Revised: They can be horizontal OR vertical for the flipbooks though - so, if you are taking the pics yet now, both directions of each pose would be great! If you're sending old pics, whatever direction they are is what they are.

Great question, Jessi! Well, this is the first time I've done this, so there will more than likely be a learning curve for me. We'd like to have it set up for the first book fair, which is usually in March sometime. So, I'm thinking if pics could be sent anytime between now and the beginning of February. I also don't mind if you send pics a few at a time either. Whenever it is easiest to send them, whether one at a time or as a group, either way is fine with me.

If you have older pics (like from the weekly check-in), those would be great too. I'd like to at least have each unit represented in each HOD guide if possible. (I'm aiming high here!)

I'll be sending pictures, but I can only send a few at a time from my email so it will have to be over the course of time. Plus since you want various units, I'll keep sending them up till you tell us not too anymore. How exciting!

Now if only you would be doing a fair in the New England area! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will TRY to remember to start taking pics of Joshua doing school in the future. Most of the time I am into it as much as he is so I completely forget to take pics. As soon as I have some I will send them your way Julie.

Oh gosh I am the worst with this. But maybe this will force me. We do most of our HOD on the couch with blankies and pillows and dogs cuddled with us. Can I send pictures of that?:lol: In all honesty that is our typical day. It's a ritual. But I am guessing you are wanting the notebooking and science?

I think that sounds like a fantastic picture! In fact, can I come over and hop into that happy scene? Wow, wouldn't it be nice to be one being read to once? Even just holding up the books your reading and having someone snap a picture of y'all (I do have a sis' in TX, ya know ) is a great testimony to the enjoyable time you have doing HOD! And your comments will be neat with it too! Thanks for considering it!

Thanks, Kathleen! I think we're coming to KC again, though they're still figuring out all of that. Overload as much as you want! And, of course, Riley (in his Dale Earnhardt, Jr. costume), will be putting on his fishing show in our bathroom sink for all to see! I'll tell him you liked it - he'll glow!

A super easy way to email pics...

Open your pictures file.
Start a new email.
Drag the picture from the picture file to the area that says "attachment" in your new email.
It should copy there automatically.

Or, use the "email" option in photobucket.

I had no idea that you could email from photobucket....maybe I can send more than 4-5 pictures at one time! I will have to check into that!
