Sharing HOD with others

Post by inHistiming » Fri Oct 24, 2008 11:54 am

I just wanted to tell you all about my day.

I am involved with our co-op this year, and I take a class of my own during one of my hours there. It's just a general "let's discuss homeschooling" class. Well, today, someone returned my Beyond...books that I had loaned her to look over. During our discussion, I was able to pull it out several times and refer to it because there were specific questions people were asking that I new the manual could help me answer! Most of us were needing help with reading issues today...how to improve reading, how to decide what level, what kind of program to use, etc. So, I was able to tell them about DITHOR, the emerging reader's schedule, and RME...which all point back to HOD. It's so great that I am using a program that is helping me to help others like me. I told them it may not be for everyone, but that we are loving it! After the class, I had 3 women who wanted to look over the program. One took the books home with her to spend more time looking, and another told me she thinks she's going to get it. I am planning to email them with the URL and with info. about the message board.

This sharing has just gotten me even more excited about the program! Thanks, Carrie, for all you've put into you're guides and for all the input you have here personally on the message board. It has been so helpful to me and the others that use your products. I'm keeping you and your family in my prayers as you continue to write these guides that have blessed my family, and others', so much. :o

I love to share about HOD too! It's so much fun and I want my friends to experience it with their kids.

What a great job you are doing of encouraging other moms on their homeschool journey. You're sharing what you're learning and that makes it all the more valid to others. One of our goals here at HOD is to teach moms "how" to teach and to "show" moms good straight-forward ways to cover needed skills with their kiddos. That makes you a valuable asset to others and more prepared along your homeschool journey too :D !

You are so kind to be willing to share HOD with others and to encourage others in the challenging role of homeschooling. Word of mouth is our favorite method of spreading the word about HOD! Thanks for sharing! 8)

Blessings,
Carrie
