rod and staff math?
hello again girls, i have a question about rod and staff math. i just realized that this is a mastery type of math. i have been looking for a complete program that is mastery based for 2nd grade. i have abeka 2 but it is spiraling method and this is just not working. i ordered math mammoth, but it looks ok to supplement but is taught in a totally diff method from abeka and there is no teachers manual. so back to my question, has anyone used this? i looked at the reviews on hs review website, and most of it was positive, but there was one about not being up to speed in 7th grade and having to make up for stuff not taught in rod and staff. that is a little worrying, but that was basically the only bad thing they had on there in 9 pages of review. plus its so affordable i could just go ahead and buy 2 grade right now and i wouldnt be breaking our budget sooooo
sorry so long, any one use this or hear any good or bad things about this ? i welcome the good the bad and the ugly lol thankyou, Heather

Re: rod and staff math?
I have not used R&S math so I won't be any help. I just wanted to say that I've looked at it recently...I didn't even realize they offered so many other 'subjects'...and it looks like a good, thorough program. We are really enjoying their English curriculum this year, and I feel it's laying a wonderful foundation for my children's learning in later years. It seems it would be the same in math...I know others will chime in with their opinions and experience.
