to all you ladies who rave about StartWrite.... THANK YOU.

Getting StartWrite has eliminated one of the battles with my son. He will do his copywork without much fuss if it's done in StartWrite.

THANKS.

I'm glad it's helping netpea. I had startwrite on my XP desktop that died but I haven't tried to put in on my newer Vista laptop. Are you using it on a Vista computer? I think I will try that so I can do some of the stuff in Startwrite for HOD.

Blessings,
Paige

Just FYI - I have Startwrite on my computer with Vista. I have had several problems with it in Vista such as the menu buttons at the top work but the icons for print and save etc below the menu buttons do not. Also, it tends to shut down a lot. It worked fine on XP and I have only had problems since moving it over to Vista. I emailed the company about it and they told me I would have to call and order an upgrade. I think it was between 10 and 15 dollars for the upgrade. I have called several times but haven't been able to get a hold of anyone at Startwrite. I have kind of given up and just work around the "bugs".

I do love Startwrite even with the Vista problems. My daughters loves using it to write letters to Grandma.

Thanks jessyb26. My friend has startwrite and I seem to remember her telling me her's didn't work at all on Vista and that she never could get any response from the Startwrite people by email or phone. As long as I can get around the bugs to print stuff then I can deal with it I think. I just hadn't needed to use it with our last curriculum. Now I am sure I could use it quite a bit.

Thanks for the heads up,
Paige
