Our own water2wine has started a wonderful thread on the HSR Board! Thanks so much!

Sometimes we get in our own
peaceful little world over here on the HOD board - and we don't make it over on the HSR board like we used to. It is very important that we make our presence known there in a powerful way right now. It would be greatly appreciated by all of us if as many of you as possible could respond to water2wine's thread about why you like HOD. Here is the link:

May the Lord raise up a faith-filled band of ladies to reach out to tell others about HOD and how God is working in your homeschooling through using it!

Let's keep this HSR thread going for as long as we can!!!
Thanks!!!
Love in Christ,
Julie

I've been planning on responding to W2W's post over there. I haven't had the time until now. HOD took a bit of a unfair hit on another post over there. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions. This is a great curriculum! I'm going over there now to post my exhuberant praises!

I just want to add to please pray.

HOD has been such an awesome blessing for us. I know there are moms who may be thinking of giving up hsing that if they found HOD would really be blessed and continue. And there are moms that would never give up hsing but may never get the feeling of having a curriculum that continuously blesses them and honestly I want that for all moms because we have it and it is a blessing.

I know HOD may not be it for everyone (hard to imagine but we are all different) but for us HOD is the best of the best and I don't even look at other programs. (PRAISE THE LORD because I used to be obsessed with searching!)

I know there is a ton of other people who don't even know about HOD. I meet them all the time and a lot of them are frustrated. I also know God is in HOD. He is in the writing (please keep writing!!!). I know He is in it as we actually use HOD and it is impacting our kids hearts for Christ and even the moms that teach with it. So please also join me in prayer as well for those who know what I am talking about to pray for some of the heart issues and to pray that kids and even moms are impacted for Him.
And for those that want to join my
secret prayer chain please pray that God will bless the families behind HOD and inspire them to consider high school.

A big hug goes out to all of you that took the time to post over on the HSR board!

My heart was filled with joy as I read those posts, and I am thankful the Lord laid it upon your heart to post there.

Your posts are greatly appreciated, and I hope that we can all continue to positively tell others about our HOD experiences - both here, and over on other boards!

You all are the "voice" of HOD, and it's a message of joy that should be shared with other moms just like ourselves that need HOD just as much as we do. Thanks so much, and may God bless you all!
W2W - I am joining you in uplifting the Austins in prayer as they journey forward - and I too still hope she will write through high school!
Love in Christ,
Julie
P.S. If you didn't get a chance to post on the HSR board - it's never too late!

The more the merrier!

Here's that link in case you're still interested in posting there:

Count me in!

Is it still a
secret prayer team if we tell everyone?

I just know that I can't imagine using anything else to help me school my kids. HOD fits us to a "T"! And I know that Carrie has so much knowledge and wisdom about what's good out there. I so appreciate the discernment in her choices. I'll have to at least ask for advice...and I'd willingly pay for it...if she doesn't write through high school!
I had never been on HSR before, but I did manage to post about HOD. (Thanks for the link Julie! I was going to have to ask what HSR stood for to find it.

Sure it is. We'll just call it a
virtual secret.

I did not post on HSR-
But I will say that I am a "voice" for HOD on the WTM boards. I have been a "member" there for years... and deep in my heart of hearts have some serious classical leanings.
So... I spread the word- and even had to tone down some serious HOD "defensiveness" that rose up in me over one thread!

Thanks for being a "voice" for HOD over on the WTM Boards - that is wonderful!!!

I have that "defensiveness" issue too at times!

What really bothers me is when people give reviews of products they've either never used or never used properly (i.e. subbing in or skipping so many things the curriculum doesn't even resemble its intended purpose). Prayer usually gets me through that!
In Christ,
Julie
