I just wanted to let all of you know that we're heading to Branson with our family for a week's vacation this Saturday, Sept. 6. If you have orders you want shipped prior to our leaving, you'll want to place them by Friday, September 5, so they'll go out in Saturday's Priority Mail.

We'll be returning phone calls, answering email, and responding on the board the best we can while we are gone. All orders placed after close of business September 5 will ship on Monday, Sept. 15.

Have a wonderful, blessed & refreshing vacation Carrie. I have a niece & a nephew who attend the College of the Ozarks near Branson. We will be going on vaction as well only to Ocean City NJ! Have fun. Thanks for all your hard work.

I hope you have a wonderful time! It's always so nice for a chance to get away from the daily "chores" and responsibilities for a chance to just enjoy your family. In our case, the cows don't get to come along. (So don't check on us too much... Computers are more "portable" than our dairy herd. )

No way!! Carrie, I was in Branson on Fri, Sat., and Sun. I could have met you for breakfast on Sunday! No, seriously, that would have been the greatest thing if I would have just run into you. I think I would have recognized you from the pictures I've seen. That is the only thing that could have made the weekend better. I was there with three girlfriends on a homeschool mom weekend away. These three friends and I decided four years ago to try to meet regularly for encouragement and support. Over the years, we have not met as often we have liked, but we have stuck with it. This was our first trip away. We drove to Branson on Friday and drove back on Sunday - 8 hour drive. We had the best time! And one of the friends who came with me is someone who switched over to HOD after I discovered it! She would have loved to meet you, too!

Oh, ladies! Thanks so much for your sweet thoughts. We're back and had a wonderful trip. We've never taken a trip of any length with just our own family, so we weren't sure how it would all go. But, we had a wonderful time and made some great memories. It's good to be back home and to get my act together to start school. We are taking one more trip with my extended family to Minneapolis and will squeeze in seeing one of Mike's brothers and his family too this coming Saturday through Wednesday. Then, we'll need to buckle down and get school underway!

I did have time to read, read, read, while in Branson. So, I'm excited about the new books we're putting together for the DITHR 4/5 book sets, the read-alouds for the newest guide, and the Extension Pack! It has been quite the search, but I am finally at peace with the book choices for those book set areas! And... I am so excited about the great books you'll all get to read aloud to your kiddos. Finding the good ones takes MUCH longer than anticipated. There aren't nearly as many good books as one would think.

Welcome home, Carrie! It has been nice to 'meet you'. Thank you for your commitment to providing the wonderful resources that you offer. I can't tell you how thrilled we are to begin our new Bigger program. This is our 18th year of teaching our daughters at home, and I have tried just about everything out there...A few years ago I wrote an article for our local group's newsletter entitled 'Help! I'm a Charlotte Mason, Classical, Unit Study Mom!" I just couldn't find my niche I guess. I feel perfect peace that I have found it this year. Blessings~
