Hello lovely friends,
I used HOD for LHTH, LHFHG and about 5-6 weeks of Beyond. We then went back to the U.S. for 6 months (we are missionaries) and during that time I did not bring my HOD curriculum with me as there were items there for me to use and it helped with luggage weight. Now that we are back home and settled I am looking ahead for the coming months.
She is finishing her phonics and moving into Emerging readers set 1, she is still working on fluency. She has pretty good handwriting and is just starting cursive and as far as math she’ll be ready to start Singapore level 2, pretty soon here. We homeschool year around so our “school year” looks different!
I’m trying to decide if she should jump back into Beyond or if she is now ready for Bigger? She will be 8 in May.
When I check online I see that she could go either to either one. I fear with our almost 6 months in the states we may have missed Beyond for her :/. Which is a bummer for her but okay with me because she has two younger siblings who will use it eventually.
Any feedback helps! Thank you!!

If I were in your shoes, I would finish out Beyond. It is such a delightful program and develops skills that will help when she reaches Bigger. I have incredibly fond memories of going through the program with my now 22 year old son. With your daughter still being 7, I think it is the perfect age.
Savor these days. They go so quickly!!

Appreciate your feedback!
As I’ve been thinking about it over the last couple days, I think I’ll do just that. Finish beyond and then jump into bigger in the new year!
And it really does go fast. These days are precious!!
