We are excited to announce two new book sets for Drawn into the Heart of Reading. Designed to follow our new Emerging Reader's Set 2, the Level 3/4 Girl Pack and Level 3/4 Boy Pack include titles from all nine literary genres that fit seamlessly into the Drawn into the Heart of Reading plans. These two new sets replace the previous Level 2 and Level 3 Book Packs for Drawn into the Heart of Reading.

Level 3/4 Boy Pack:

I have 2 questions about the ERs/DITHOR:

1) To clarify, is it now:
*ER1
*ER2
*DITHOR 3/4 (B&G)
*followed by the original DITHOR Sets from Level 4/5, and up?

2) Will you be offering "Upgrade Packages" for those who have the original Level 2 and 3 book packs to convert our packages into ER 2 and either Boy or Girl DITHOR 3/4 packs?
So, for example and will you have an Upgrade 2 package for anyone who has DITHOR Level 2, including any books we may need to round out the new ER 2 book pack, as well as the guide for the ER2s? And an Upgrade 3 Boys package for anyone who has DITHOR Level 2 and 3 and wants to flesh it out for using DITHOR Level 3/4 Boys pack? (And a corresponding one for the DITHOR Level 3/4 Girls pack?)

Great questions! Yes, the new order is phonics, ER1, ER2, DITHR 3/4 Girl or Boy Set, and then the rest of the original DITHR packages. This new sequence will give kiddos another year to grow as readers prior to moving into the literary analysis and writing required in DITHR. It will encourage parents to listen to their kiddos read aloud daily, targeting read-aloud skills too. Plus, it offers one more year of comprehension and daily questions in the critical time when kids are growing as readers. Last, it also offers targeted girl/boy sets for kiddos once they do move into DITHR. This keeps interest high!

We also have kept our wonderfully loyal HOD families in mind as we designed these new packages. So, we do offer an "Add-on" Package for each of these sets (for families who already own the previous DITHR 2 and DITHR 3 sets). That will make adding these new packages easy in our store.

Wonderful! Thank you for doing the add-on! We have the DITHR 2 Book Pack which I was planning on using with my son with Bigger next year. The Emerging Readers Set 2 will make a great transition instead!

Great question! Since the DITHR guide and Student Books work with any books, they will not be affected by the package changes.

Families should be able to seamlessly use the new 3/4 girl and boy packs just like they used to use the old level two and level three packs for DITHR.
