Would she be jumping from Bigger to CTC? Or Preparing to CTC?

That's great! HOD can really be a breath of fresh air, can't it? I was going to suggest perhaps she do Preparing, but if she did great in CTC today, then by all means, go for it. Many will say 9 is on the young side, but like I've mentioned, I have a 9 yo DD doing CTC and she is doing great with it. But we started with Preparing when she was 8. When first looking at HOD I almost thought she should go straight into CTC, and I'm glad Julie talked me out of that. She learned so much in Preparing that, well, "prepared" her for CTC. But it sounds like perhaps your DD has had that preparation with her other course of study. And if you ever do need to slow her down to gain skills or catch up to the more mature themes, you have the wiggle room to do it. Glad she had fun with it today!
