GRAD!

My 17yo DD just finished her grade 12 (over a month earlier than I had expected of her), with WH! :!: :D

She has Irlen Syndrome (at that time undiagnosed) so started HOD in 6th with Bigger, and we subbed out the LA for Brain Training. She advanced a few grades of reading in the next couple years, so skipped CTC to be in the suggested age range for the guides (so she didn't need to do Extensions), and then used Rev2Rev through WG, with higher science, most of the Extensions/Living Library (she didn't need them for age, but for credit at that point), math and different LA (adapted to use audio books) for high school.

And now she's done!

Our 10yo also finished CTC last week, 5 weeks early (he's my motivated one!) and is taking a week off before we start RTR. (I won't use this post to share about the one struggling with reading or the one who regularly says he's done when he's not, lol. This one's just a brag post.)

2 graduated, 6 to go!

Congratulations! Last time we talked she was close to being done, and now she is! Hooray! Congratulations also to your son! You definitely have bragging rights - you were in front leading the charge many years. So, congratulations to you too! :D

In Christ,
Julie

Heather, we're not sure of future plans. She is currently looking for a job that will last her at least through the summer. Come fall she is accepted to her university of choice, but since she is only planning on a general studies year (doesn't have a larger goal in mind, yet), we are unsure with all the complications of Covid and the fact that she is only 17 if she will go this year or wait another year. Decisions, decisions.

Thanks for asking!

Blessings,

Oh my goodness! How exciting! What a wonderful moment it is when you finish the homeschool journey with a child you have been working alongside for years. Our favorite year of HOD is always the final one, as it is amazing to see how far the kiddos have come on their homeschool journey. :D

Way to go!!! Make sure you take a moment to enjoy this finish to this chapter in your daughter's life. I can hear the Lord speaking to you in this moment, "Well done my good and faithful servant."

Blessings,
Carrie
