New Edition and Notebooking Pages for Preparing?

Last year I bought Bigger and then realized a couple months later that a new edition had been released with notebooking pages. I wish I had waited and bought the newer edition. Does anyone know if there will be a release before July this year for Preparing? It seems like it is the only level without notebooking pages from Bigger on. I would really like to buy the most recent one as we have many children still to go through them.

We will be releasing PHFHG notebooking pages this summer, but like Bigger Hearts, Carrie's plan is to have probably 75% or so of the old PHFHG plans still work with the new notebooking pages. To be sure you are aware of updates, sales, and other pertinent information of this nature, be sure to sign up for our email newsletter, as that is where we share announcements such as this...

Can we still use the older guides? What is notebooking pages? I can't afford to buy new guides for my boys. I'm using the one I bought last year but it was too advanced for them so I took them down one guide. This year they will be returning back to Preparing Hearts that was not over a year ago. Thanks.

Update on PHFHG Notebooking Pages:
I'd be glad to help! I just spoke with Carrie, and due to Mike and Carrie's son, Greyson's medical concerns and other books that need to be replaced requiring Carrie's attention, we are hoping to have the new PHFHG's notebooking pages and new guide available either this fall or spring 2020. Carrie's plan is to have the new notebooking pages still match 75-80% of the old guide's plans, just as she did with Bigger Heart's new notebooking pages. Greyson has been hospitalized over 125 days off and on thus far, so we are learning to put everything in God's timing. We would love to put a deadline out there, but we cannot see what is ahead for Greyson. We have used Preparing Hearts for His Glory with our own sons as it is written and thoroughly enjoyed it! It functions beautifully! So while we are excited about making new notebooking pages for Preparing Hearts, the guide is able to be used as written and enjoyed now. We have heard from many people that it is their favorite guide! We pray you will enjoy it too!

Kristen,
Thanks so much for your prayers for Grey! He has managed to stay out of the hospital for the last 8 weeks, so we are very grateful for that! The doctors are currently trying Humira with Grey in the hopes that will eventually put him in remission from the Crohns/colitis that caused him to lose his entire colon last October. It has been an interesting year for us with over 160 days in the hospital this past year - much of it 4 hours away from home.
We are currently working on a needed website upgrade and overhaul. This is a massive project and is taking precedence right now over all other projects. We are definitely excited about notebooking pages for Preparing Hearts and are hoping to work on those pages this coming spring 2020. The Bigger Hearts pages have been so well-received!
Blessings,
Carrie

Hello!
As we are still knee-deep in the entire website redesign, the Preparing Hearts pages are on track for a summer release. We are looking at late July - early August right now. The website redesign has been so much more massive than we thought, as the entire thing has had to be redone including the store. It has been a slow-moving process, and one that will still be in the works for months.
We are so excited to share the completed version with all of you! We are keeping other projects going too, giving precedence to replacing books that have gone out of print or rescheduling books that are being updated, so everyone can keep using their guides.
While I would deeply love to be writing more right now, there is only so much time.
We greatly appreciate your interest and your patience. Blessedly, Preparing Hearts is a great guide "as is" and can still be used in its original way.
Blessings,
Carrie

Thanks so much for checking back on this! I talked with Mike and Carrie, and we currently are estimating to have them out around October of this year 2020. Amidst health concerns, the web and catalog redesign, unforeseen updates Carrie has had to write, and sadly the passing away of our graphics designer's wife, we have had delays to this project. We apologize, and God willing, we hope to have these available around October of this 2020. We thank you for your interest and for your patience, and should this date need to be moved again, we've personally used PHFHG with all seven of our sons combined without printed notebook pages and enjoyed it thoroughly! God bless!
In Christ,
Julie

Hello,
I receive email updates from time to time about blog posts and such. Will the arrival of these notebooking pages be posted in one of these emails? Just curious. My son starts preparing in Jan. I see that there will more likely be a new guide too but I'm going to continue for now with the old one my eldest son used.
I will pray for your families and that of the webdesigner's family as well. I know 2020 has been a hard year on us all and seems like the last two or more years have been hard on your families.
Many blessings your way,

Carrie,
We will post an update on our weekly newsletter, so if you are signed up for that you will receive information about the new notebooking pages. We are thrilled that they are finally done!!! We still have to do a final proof of them and get them off to the printer, but they are truly beautiful and will make
Preparing Hearts an even better guide. It truly is one of my favorite guides already!
The guide itself is already at the printer, but with COVID... printing turn-around is a bit slower. We are likely looking at end of December as a ship date for the new color guide and full-color notebooking pages.
The reason it took so long to get the notebooks done is that I actually ended up having to make
two notebooks for
Preparing Hearts! We needed two notebooks because in addition to the "Reading About History" assignments, there are "Independent History Study" assignments such as drawing, and copywork, and notebooking that go with the separate "Deluxe Package" set of books. This is a unique package for
Preparing Hearts that is used to incrementally train students in the independent skills they will need for
Creation to Christ the next year. So that particular package needed its own set of notebooking pages.
Then, we have the written narrations, vocabulary, and timeline parts of the
Preparing Hearts guide - which all go with the "Reading About History" box of plans and the Economy Package of books. So, we combined those three areas into a second notebook with three sections - one for each of those areas. It turned out amazing! After using
Preparing Hearts over and over with our own boys, I am excited about how these two notebooks will make this guide even better!
Of course, families can still use their older guides, but if they desire to use the new notebooking pages, it would be best if they purchase the new guide. For all those families who purchased the
Preparing Hearts guide from us previously, you can return your old guide (using a postage paid label we provide) and receive 50% off the new color guide. Just contact us and let us know you want to make the swap, and we will look up your previous order and then mail out your postage paid label to return your old guide.
Blessings,
Carrie

I'm so excited!!! I loved Preparing before with my older kiddos and I can't WAIT to purchase for my youngest suprise kiddo. Right now we are using another curriculum but Preparing will be her 4th grade. I LOVE the incremental skill development and I think it will be just what she needs to grow towards more independence. It will be especially great as I will be graduating seminary in June and will be needing to find occasional child care for when I am placed in my first call (praying to find another homeschooling family or homeschooled teen). Thank you, Carrie, for the time and hard work you have invested in this curriculum, and for finding ways to make it even better
