Main spines for history

Hi, I am new to HOD, but next year I am hoping to use BLHFHG, RTRef and HS World Geography. I was wondering if there is a main spine that is used throughout the year for history for the different levels or is all history taught through different living books? I'm coming from a MFW background that used spines like Streams of Civilization and Trial and Triumph last year (which seemed over my 5th graders head). Thank you!

Each guide has a different set of books. Some guides have more of a spine and then additional living books. Others seem to be divided among a variety of books. If you go to each guide's page, you can see the resources for each one. For BLHFHG for example, there are three history books: American Pioneers and Patriots (which you might be familiar with from MFW), Boys and Girls of Colonial Days, and Stories of the Pilgrims. The books are chosen to they are appropriate for the ages the guide is written for. Beyond is written for 6-8yos, so the books are picked for that age range. RtR is written for 10-12yos, so the books are picked for that age range.

Each guide has several history spines and then there are storytime books or in the WG guide they are called Living Library books that are more the living books that go with the history. The history spines are those listed in the Economy package for each guide.
