Hey everybody! I have finally gotten all my books ordered and the last of them came today! I'm so excited!!! I was browsing thru the math and had a question. For those of you using the Singapore Math 2A and 2B, do you suggest that I purchase the Bigger curriculum guide so as to have the Math Exploration activities. I noticed that the math is challenging and wondered if doing the hands on activities would enhance the lessons or can I get by with just using the textbooks and workbooks? Any advice you can add I would greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance.
BTW, we are getting started in another week. We have family in town through next week and will start up after we've had a fun visit with them. We are excited, especially Mama!!!!

Re: Question about Singapore 2A & B with Beyond
Kimi,
Since Math 2A/2B is the last hands-on year math-wise before switching to textbook/workbook, I'd advise using the Bigger Math activities if you can afford it. You don't need the 2A/2B textbooks if you use the hands-on math activities scheduled in the "Bigger..." guide, so you would defray the cost a bit by returning those.
You can certainly do it without the activities, but we've found that they really help our kiddos understand the lesson and help transition to the workbook assignment VERY easily.
Other ladies may chime in as well, but I just wanted to answer you while I was on the board.
Blessings,
Carrie
