. This has given me a new appreciation for how wonderful these plans really are. They push me to really think about the reading in a different way and to go back and focus on some details that I might have just skimmed over. It is also really helping me to remember what I read. I am one of those that reads a book so quickly that a few months later I might get the same book from the library not remembering I already read it. Having to stop and reflect in a more Charlotte Mason style way has given reading an entirely different focus. As usual Carrie often draws the student to look at scripture also to compare what is in the book to God's word. I just love that. My daughter used several different lit programs and lit guides and I can honestly say none of them compare to the lit plans that Carrie has written for the high school guides. The lit in the WG is of a different style than the WH and AH1 guides, but it sets a strong foundation for the student to succeed in the higher guides. Once again thank you Carrie for what you do. I am sure that the literature plans take one of the biggest chunks of your time when you write the guides and it would be so easy to just use something that was already written, but I am so glad you didn't!
