What is "Common Place Book"?

Sorry...new to HOD and I'm going to be asking a lot of questions! For Res. to Ref, with Boyhood and Beyond, the lesson plan says to copy a quote into his "Common Place Book." I can't seem to find an actual book, so is that just a notebook that we create?

Thanks!

Yes, it is just a nice journal that they will use until it is full (often for multiple guides). It doesn't have to be expensive, but it should be something "nice." Personally, I would go a step above a black and white composition book - nothing super fancy but more than what we use for grammar and dictation.

I think in the introduction part of the guide it talks about the Common Place Book. Stephanie already explained it pretty well for you, but you might find many answers to your questions in the introduction! For some reason I never read the introduction, or I read it and then forgot, and going back with my 2nd born I read the introductions every time before I start a guide and it really helps.
