WG supplies questions

Post by Mumkins » Sun Aug 23, 2015 4:34 pm

What is the modeling clay we need? Does it have to be bakeable, or is the clay at the dollar store ok?

Do we really need caligraphy pens? I can't find one under $30. But there's a marker set for $10. Would that do?

I found a 44 page tracing parchement paper pad. Would that work? Or would a roll be better? Is the tracing parchement paper what I'm after or something else?

Hi Mumkins! :D I don't recall baking any clay, so we must have just bought the kind that doesn't need to be baked. I believe I got the calligraphy pens at Walmart for around $6 to $12. The parchment paper pad I believe I also got at Walmart for about $5-8. A wonderful inexpensive online art supplier is Miller Pads and Papers. Here is a link to some of their calligraphy pens...

I hope that helps and that you have a terrific year using WG! :D :D :D

Thank you for linking those. Unfortunately, being in Canada limits me. I did find parchment paper, for $14. And the dollar store had air dry clay, but what you linked looks more like what we call plastercine. I bought some of that anyway, so we're good there. Someone on FB said the calligraphy pens were only used 1 time they thought. Is that true? Because I can't get them under $30 here. 1 activity, I'll skip. Used all year, I'll fork it out. I wish shipping wasn't do high and our dollar so bad right now.
