*Must Read* Summer Of the Monkeys

OH MY GOODNESS!! If you didn't get the boys interest set for CTC or don't plan in another way to read The Summer Of the Monkeys to your kids...DO IT!! It is the greatest book I have ever read with my kids, and we read a LOT!!
I cried through the most recent chapter and my kids were crying too.
Really. It is a MUST READ!!

That is good to know! I have never read that book and we read a lot also. I've also seen it on lists but have never heard anyone talking about it. Maybe that will be our next read aloud in the evening. I know that we will read the history set for CtC.

We own the movie and really enjoyed it, but I can't wait to see how closely it follows the book! Thanks for the nudge!

I read it as a kid and cried. I look forward to going through it again with my kiddos when we get to that guide

It is a GREAT book and so much better than the movie! (Aren't they all?)
