DITHOR 6/7/8 question

I am full of questions as I get ready to order! I am ordering DITHOR 6/7/8 for my 6th grade son. Is that book really used over 3 years...for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade? I need to order him a new book pack this year. I'm trying to decide if I should order the 6/7 book pack or the 7/8 book pack, as he's a very strong reader. My question is...will I need just one book pack for the entire 6/7/8 workbook or will I end up needing two book packs to finish the whole book? Hope that makes sense! Thank you!

Most families do each workbook once, starting in Bigger out Preparing with the 2/3 workbook at 3rd to 4th grade. In Preparing through MtMM, DITHOR is scheduled 3 days a week, so there is time to complete about 5 of the 9 genres each year. If you have never done DITHOR before, I would recommend the 4/5 workbook for a 6th grader.

We have done all the DITHOR books already, so he is ready for the 6/7/8 book...just curious I guess if it's truly spread out over 3 years? And if I will need more than one book pack to complete the 6/7/8 book? Thanks!

It is meant to be done over 2 years. DITHOR is scheduled 3 days per week so that has the kids complete about 5 books per year. So you would probably need to buy another student book in 8th grade and just do half the book then. Since you are familiar with the structure already, then you know that you are just analyzing elements of literature. So going through the 6/7/8 book again (or at least half of it) would be fine.
