Commonplace book AND prayer journal?

Is their common place book also the prayer journal? Or do they need both? And they'd both carry them throughout the years?

Yes they need both and they can use the same ones for several years. At our house the prayer journal is something I don't look at. I don't want anyone looking at my prayer journal, so I give him the same respect. That is between him and God. He just shows me that he did it. The common place book I do look at to see what he chose to copy.
