Beyond question.......

HI there,
I'm still trying decide between LHFHG and Beyond for my 6 yr old twins. They almost seem to be right in between. My question about Beyond is -I know that it totally depends on the child(and they are each unique)but what age/grade(hate the grade thing)do most people use Beyond for?
Both manuals have such interesting things to cover. I don't want to miss out on some things in LH, but also feel that my twins are ready for Beyond. Is Beyond often used for what might be considered 2nd grade(age 7)?
TIA!

On the record we're grade 2 and DS turns 7 later this week....but I refer to this for us as Year 1.5 a little past first but not quite ready for second ... at least until all 34 weeks of Beyond are complete.
anxiously awaiting others using Beyond to chime in on the age of their child while using.

Skillet04, we do the same, but we're a year ahead. We're doing 2nd grade, not quite ready for 3rd, but doing Beyond.
That sounds so old for my dd.
My dd turned 8 in June, so we change "grade" in January.
I'd like to finish Beyond by January.

I used Little Hearts for K so we will be using Beyond w/ my dd for 1st grade. She will be 6 in October. HTH!

I am using Beyond with a 3rd and 5th grader. My 5th has some learning differences, but he really feels engaged with the history. We LOVE it!

Thanks so much! My heart keeps leaning toward LHFHG for their 6 yr old yr and Beyond for next. I have the whole Beyond set. It's just sitting there screaming "use me". But I will do LHFHG this yr and start Beyond when finished. Thanks again.

I used Beyond for my dd in 2nd grade, and I plan to use it with our youngest ds for 2nd also. It's great for that age...my dd loved the stories, art and history activities, the memory verses were fairly easy to remember, etc. I think you'll love it!

for my family Beyond is a good second grade fit.
LHFHG is what I will be using for my first grade, 6 year old, but I am adding a bit to it: FLL, spelling and more math. He will also tag along with his older brother's science b/c I think he will like it.
HTH!
