Drawn Into the Heart of Reading

We started DITHOR a long time ago and unfortunately put it away. Now, I'm thinking about going back to it, and make it work for our family, because it looks so good! My kids are older now, but basically using it for the first time, would it be okay to just use 4/5 with all of them? They are 4th, 6th, and 7th. What would you recommend? Also, should they be reading a little easier books with this? I can't remember. For those who are using it three days a week, are you still reading each day, but only doing the DITHOR worksheets on those three days, or are you doing reading and worksheets only on those three days? Does that make sense?? :?

Thank you! :D

I think you could use the 4/5 book with all of them this year and then bump up the older 2 into the 6-8 book next year. Usually you do aim for a book that is slightly below their reading level. For the 7th grader though, since they would be using the easier student book I would probably aim for at grade level. If it is scheduled 3 days a week you only do it 3 days a week. Therefore you get through half the genres in a year. It is scheduled this way to balance out the daily work in those guides.
