Question for those who have used the WH guide

I am reading all the history books in order and looking closely at the assignments and I have a question for those who dc have done this guide. When they did the Critical Thinking questions that are in the Critical Thinking Using Primary Source Documents book did you have to help them at all? It is an independent box,but even if he reads the notes about each document first I do not see my ds being able to answer some of those questions without some help. To be honest I'm not sure I know how to answer some of them. Because he does have some challenges with deeper thinking at times, I just want to know what is typical for other dc doing this assignment. It helps me be more realistic in my expectations.

The other part of the question is if they did do it on their own did you just take pretty much whatever answer they gave as long as it showed good thought and made sense since there really isn't an answer key?

Hi Lynn :D I'm thinking that the important skill is "critical thinking". So, God has given him a unique situation in life, and the goal is service to God, so I think that I would join him in a "socratic" discussion here and have him record the highlights.

Jennymommy, I am sure we will end up making it more a discussion type exercise with him recording his answers after we talk some. I guess I am just wondering if other dc needed any help with this part of the plans because as we get closer to graduation I am trying to figure out how far "off the mark" he might be as far as the deeper thinking required in college. My daughter is gifted so I can't gauge anything by how she did things at his age.
