Sorry if I doubled posted.

I have three dc using TRL. When they are done at what grade level will they be at? I'm thinking the end of 1st grade :? Will they be ready for the emerging readers?

Thanks,

I believe they will be reading at a 2 grade level. And yes, they would go right into the emerging readers next. Hope that helps.

Yes, they'll be at the beginning 2nd grade reading level (RL 2.0-2.4). So, you can go right into the Emerging Reader's Set. The Emerging Reader's Set is a 14 book set with choice of Bible. For your readers that are not quite as confident, you'll want to pick the Early Reader's Bible as it is easier (RL 2.0) and has a more controlled vocabulary. For your more confident readers, they can begin with the "Beginner's Bible" (RL 2.4). It does not have a controlled vocabulary.

If you desire to only pick one Bible, I'd pick the easier one to make sure they all have a wonderful transition! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Thanks for the help with which Bible to pick :D I am currently using The Reading Lesson with a 1st & 2nd grader and soon to add in my K student. I like this program better than Phonics Pathway. Phonics Pathway is very good to but my kiddos are enjoying TRL & able to read more words sooner with TRL.

Blessings,
