Reading out loud is a struggle for DD

How important is it to read out loud in DITHOR? DD mumbles and reads at about half the pace she reads in her head. She can narrate well what she reads. I'm guessing that due to her APD/VPD, it's harder to read out loud. Is it necessary for her to read DITHOR out loud, or should I just be happy she's reading and satisfied if she can complete the work? She recently finished ER. We're working through level 2 book plack, just pleasure reading, with plans to start DITHOR and book pack 3 in the fall.

tI definitely don't know the "real" answer, but would it be possible to have her read 1-2 paragraphs aloud AFTER she has silently read for the day? Limit it to about 5 minutes of reading aloud, so you can confirm she is doing fine with her actual reading of words?

I generally listen to my kids read SOMETHING out loud daily. But most of the time it is not school work. Instructions, AWANA verses, paragraphs out of something else they are reading, a letter from Grandma, a book to the baby.... something because reading out loud is a different skill than reading to yourself.
But I do not make them read ANY of their school reading out loud simply because we just don't have enough hours in the day for everyone to read all the stuff that's supposed to be read aloud to me.
