HOD Praises

This is not a bragging mom post, but instead a praise for HOD. My 10 year old DS (who is not an eager student and who has been giving me anxieties about placement for next year, etc.) had his physical today with the pediatrician. He told the doctor that school was going "good" (this is huge for this kid). Later while having his heart examined he said "this reminds me of our experiment yesterday about voluntary and involuntary muscles" (hooray, he is learning and retaining). Finally, he said to our pediatrician, "are those bifocals, Ben Franklin invented those". I left that office with such peace. I've debated whether homeschooling would work for this child and thanks to this curriculum I feel we can forge onward. Thank you Carrie/Mike & family and Julie for your dedication. You are touching the lives of so many.

What a wonderful praise! I too observe over and over again the affects of HOD on my "difficult-to-school" child.

I loved reading this! :D :D :D That was a pretty amazing doctor's appointment - you should be so proud of ds! There is often so much more going on in the minds of our sons than first meets the eye. I am thankful that the Lord gave you those insights that day! I also am thankful for your kind encouragement here for Mike, Carrie, and me. This is such a busy season, and we live on inspiration such as this. May the Lord bless you as you homeschool your ds, 3greatkids!!! Remember, you are doing incredibly important work with your son - work with the Lord's stamp of approval. Every time you choose to dedicate yourself to homeschooling your ds in a Christ-centered way like you are by using HOD, He is thinking 'Atta-girl!!! THAT's my daughter!" Christian homeschooling moms are often under-appreciated in this world, but never by the Lord. He sees what you are doing, and He is well-pleased.

In Christ,
Julie
