Seven weeks in and loving our HOD school year, as always!

Thanks, Carrie!
My oldest is particularly enjoying the Mapping the World with Art. She has also been pleasantly surprised to find that she enjoys the Spanish. We missed storytime (the read aloud aspect), so I used her recent knee surgery/injury recovery time to read Word to Caesar to her, and now I've started Big John's Secret. There really aren't enough hours in my day to keep up with that regularly, but we do enjoy the time.
On the morning of our county fair (about a month ago), my daughter was winding up some hose to take for the steer when her knee gave out. She dislocated her knee cap and took off bone chips from her kneecap and leg bone. Two and a half weeks ago, she had some fairly major knee surgery. She's completely non-weight bearing for six weeks, and full recovery is expected to take about six months.
My Little Hearts girl is *so* loving the weekly action rhymes. She's really fun.
I'm reading through Snow Treasure for the fourth time. I will never tire of that. It's a favorite for all my crew.
My Creation to Christ guy gets a little more independent week by week. It's nice to see that progress.
Anyhow, thanks for the great guides! Continued prayers for you and your family, Carrie! God bless!
