Scared might be the wrong word. How about aprehensive? I know I should'nt be, but there so many NEW things on our plate this year.

We're doing Preparing AND the following:

TT math for DS and a worktext for DD

A textbook science together

2 levels/curriculums of english (I've always just taught one level together)

Spelling

Map reading workbook

Reading curriculum (haven't chosen yet)

Notebooking for science, history and Bible

I'm stressing b/c it's going to take a while to find our way scheduling it all so we don't do too much on any given day. Also, there's the juggling of time between kid on their seperate subjects. UGH.

I'm going to venture in and just mention that your list looks fine and while you can certainly do it that way.... I'll just toss out a few ideas that you've probably already considered, but would help you cut back on time:

With the geography done weekly in Preparing, an additional map workbook isn't necessary. Also, depending on the ages of your kiddos, you could combine them in one level of Rod and Staff English.

Another thought is that you could do the dictation passages in the back of Preparing, rather than separate spelling.

One last idea is to do the science as scheduled in Preparing, which is meant to be independent, instead of doing a textbook science.

The notebooking is scheduled for you in Preparing in the areas of science and history (each once a week). So, if you're doing our notebooking, it will also cut back on time needed for that.

Anyway, you'll know what's best for you family. I just don't want you to add so much to Preparing that you lose the benefit of having the guide all planned for you.
