HI, I recently took my daughter in for a speech evaluation. She will be 3yrs old next week. I have had concerns about her speech since last year but the doctor she had at that time said she was fine and to wait and see. Well when I took her for the evaluation she tested in at about a 19month old for overall communication. She has been diagnosed with apraxia and aphasia, which means she has a hard time processing what you say and also getting the words out. I also took her to a neurologist who ordered an EEG to make sure she is not having seizures and some blood work to test for fragile x,(which takes 6 to 8 weeks to get the results). So please pray for her.

I will be praying for your daughter and your family as you are going to have so much more on your plate than before. Thank goodness you were able to get a diagnosis. Hopefully the EEG and blood work will turn out fine.

I am praying for you and your daughter and for wisdom for the doctors. I have walked down this road before and I know how hard it is to wait and wonder with your little ones. Please keep us updated and I will be praying.

Prayers are going up now for your dear daughter! God is a BIG God, and He is able to do above anything we ask or think.
I'm also in Ohio . . . the Columbus area. Are we anywhere near each other?

I live in a real small town about 20minutes from Bowling Green. Columbus is about two hours away.
