Hi, I am ordering PHFHG today for my daughter. I am going to order the Singapore Math Workbooks and Textbooks 4/5 as well but didn't see any Teacher's Manual/guide listed. Just wondering if these booklets have any teaching instruction included or not?

The textbooks contain step-by-step samples of how they expect the problems to be worked. I find this to be sufficient to tell me how to teach the material and guide my daughter, but I am strong in math and so is she. There are Home Instructor Guides which are suggested but not required and if you got the others and felt you would need more guidance or ideas you could get those. The people I know who use them say they are helpful.

I could have written the exact same post as MelInKansas! I found the Textbooks to have enough instruction for me as a teacher in 4A/4B. We didn't get the HIG for help until I believe 6A, but I do enjoy math too. If you'd like to have the additional support of the HIG for 5A/5B, you can read about them and order them from HOD by scrolling down to the bottom of the following link...
