what is English 100? transcript help

I've seen quite a few posts from some of you ladies that seem to be "transcript experts". :) I am not at all. :) One of my daughters is going to attend a dental assistant school. The only thing they need to "see" is a transcript showing that she has completed the equivalent of English 100. Does anyone know what that would be, or how I would put that on a transcript? They do not require any college courses, so I know it's not college level English.

Thanks!

Number designations to courses are different at different schools. I would just call them and ask what they are looking for with English 100.

I would call and ask, but college level English is most often English 101. So, basically they need to be ready for Freshman English Comp most likely. If you can, get a hold of that school's catalog (most are online these days) and just look up the course there.

I would imagine they want to see that she did a year of English that included literature, composition, and grammar. You would just outline that in a course description and call the course English 1 or whatever. It is weird they say English 100 because that is almost always used to designate a college course and would be a per-requisite to English 101. I agree though that you should call them and ask.
