Hi gals,

For those of you who are using Video Text for Algebra, are you planning on finishing it all in one year so you can move on to Geometry in WH guide or will you take the recommended two years to finish and complete the full Algebra 1 & 2credit then do Geometry with the guide after WH? Does anyone know what Carries plan is Concerning this?

We used VideoText Algebra for my oldest son. When using VideoText Algebra, because it integrates Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and Algebra II, it is best to use the program all the way through before moving into Geometry. Typically, this takes 2 years. So, in that case the sequence would be Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus if your student began Algebra I in grade 9. If your student started in 8th grade with this sequence instead, then he/she would also get to Calculus. This sequence will be fine as long as your child has had enough Geometry by the time he/she takes the ACT or SAT his/her junior year to do well on the math portions of the test.
