Skipping American History?

Hi!

I was just reading through some of the threads on the board and came across a post that made me think of something I hadn't before. And that is is it ok for a 4th/5th grader to skip bigger and start with preparing? Therefore missing the American History year? Will this be covered again in a later guide?
Just curious. Thanks!

American history is covered three times int eh HOD guides. First, it is covered in Beyond and Bigger. Then it is covered in Rev2Rev and MtMM. Finally, it iwll be covered in the last two high school guides. I think the recommendation is always to place a child correctly, and not worry about where they are in a history cycle.

As an encouragement to you - we skipped Bigger when my dd started in 4th grade and started with Preparing. I am glad we did

We loved Preparing and are looking forward to completing American History with Rev2Rev and MTMM
