I am so excited! A few short weeks ago I ordered Preparing and my kiddo (ds10) loves the book choices! He took "Grandpa's Box" on vacation last week . Today I ordered Beyond for dd and RTR w/Shakespeare plus DITHR Book Pack 6/7 and the Boy Interest Book Pack from CTC for ds12. Why did I order two book packs for one kid, you might ask? I ordered them because my kiddo that use to be a reluctant reader was SO EXCITED about reading ALL of the books in both packages! He resorted to flipping a coin to try to figure out which to get. Mind you, this is my kid that use to hate reading before we came to HOD! After flipping the coin, he looked sad because he still wasn't sure which pack to choose. He said he wanted to use some for free reading and others for DITHR but he was sure he wanted to read them all at some point. So this momma ordered both packs! DS, being a money conscious kiddo, asked about the budget . I told him it was fine and he jumped out of his seat and gave me a big squeeze . Now, we wait for our big, dirty, white boxes with much anticipation! We can't wait!

That is great! So excited for you!!!! And my oldest dd also didn't like read much until we found HOD. Now she reads all the time and we love the book selection!

What an encouraging post to wake up to read before church this Sunday!!! I am copying Carrie on this - such inspiration for her writing here. I am all teared up thinking of your ds's transformation in regard to reading!!! I just couldn't be happier for you and for him. Way to go, MOM, too! In this world that doesn't throw out too many accolades for homeschool mamas, here's one attagirl for you! Keep doing what you are doing. It is working, and it has lifelong impact.
